This trip combines an ocean cruise with some air travel which starts in the southern town of Ushuaia in Argentina and finishes in Punta Arenas in southern Chile. A great, short cruise for those of you wanting to see the incredible icescapes and wildlife in this remote, inhospitable continent. The Ocean Nova has capacity for 62 passengers with all outside cabins with private facilities. In addition to a glass enclosed observation lounge and presentation room, there is an infirmary, a library, a bar and an exercise room. The ship has Zodiac boats that are perfect for landings and wildlife spotting. Baggage limits of 20kg apply Medical insurance with aero evacuation strongly recommended While every effort is made to adhere to the published itinerary, you should realize that with this kind of adventurous travel that changes will sometimes be made due to unpredictable or severe weather conditions. A tight time connection with an Antarctic expedition is unwise so we strongly advise a flexible air ticket be held for onward travel and that in any case you do not book a flight out on the expected day of arrival into Punta Arenas. All passengers will be required to fill in a participation form prior to sailing. These voyages are intended for persons in reasonably good health. You should be comfortable travelling in remote areas and be happy on both large and small boats. Contact us with any suitability questions.Includes
Transfers from airport/hotel on first and last day of voyage Accommodation on board in cabin (discuss options with us) One overnight in Punta Arenas at end of trip All cruising along Antarctic Peninsula as indicated in the programme Flight from Frei station to Punta Arenas at trip end Full board including all drinks on board (open bar) All guided shore excursions Lectures and entertainment on board Comprehensive pre and post voyage information Loan of waterproof boots for landings
