Glacier and Sea Kayaking in southern Chile
Kayaking is becoming more and more popular in Chile. It's long, varied coastline, many lakes and rivers, and dramatic landscape make it one of the best kayaking destinations in South America. We were one of the first operators in the area to introduce sea kayakers to the marvellous waterways in and around Torres del Paine with our innovative three-day sea-kayaking tour, which was part of our multi-activity Blue Ice Trail. Today, we offer kayaking tours ranging from an eight day paddle through the pristine and majestic fjords of northern Patagonia to a four day kayak journey from Torres del Paine to Puerto Natales via the isolated waterways of Bernardo O'Higgins National Park. The latter takes us from the banks of the Serrano River to the Serrano Glacier around the back of Monte Balmaceda and up to the very end of the southern Patagonian ice cap. It finishes with a boat connection to Puerto Natales. Some of our kayaking departures run on scheduled dates and some are custom trips available on request. Some require previous kayaking experience and some are suitable for beginners. Refer to the full itinerary page for details. Any of the trips listed here can be arranged on a private basis. Minimum client numbers required to confirm a trip are given on the trip details but if you are travelling solo or as a couple let us know what trip you are interested in and we can let you know of any confirmed departures with space available.
In addition to what is on this site we offer a fascinating and cultural five day kayak journey through the waterways of Chiloe Island. Contact us for details and departure dates.
