4-day Kayak/Whales
Detailed Itinerary
Collection from your hostel/hotel in Punta Arenas at 0800 hours. We will then head towards the San Isidro Lighthouse area located on the southern point of the Brunswick peninsular, the southern most point of the Americas.
We will board our vessel and sail out through the Magellan Straight while keeping a keen eye for dolphins. Arrive at San Isidro Inn reception for coffee and visit to Kaweskar presentation, Eagle Bay and the San Isidro lighthouse and surrounding areas. Lunch back at the Hosteria.
In the afternoon we will walk down to Eagle Bay for an afternoon's kayaking. After a safety briefing and familiarization with our equipment and roll techniques we will paddle out into the Nassau Islets observing coastal fauna.
Return to San Isidro Inn where dinner and double rooms will be in this comfortable Inn with fabulous views over the surrounding islands and waterways. Lunch and dinner included (wine/drinks available at extra cost).

After an early breakfast while enjoying stunning views of the Magellan Straits we will walk down to the water and board the Esturion II vessel for the sailing out to Carlos III Island.
Arrival at the Carlos III Island eco camp. Tour of camp and whale observatory and lecture on the Francisco Coloane Marine Park and marine wildlife.
After lunch we will start our sea kayak journey by paddling out into the Francisco Coloane Marine park to see humpback whales, marine birds and sea lions - a truly unforgettable experience.
Return to the Carlos III camp for dinner. All meals included (limited wine included with dinner).

After breakfast we will once again be putting our kayaks in to begin kayaking along verdant green waters to Rupert Island to visit the penguin and sea lion colonies.
The afternoon will be spent sailing towards the Glacier Isla Santa Ines through Whale Sound.
Return to camp for dinner and lodging at Carlos III camp. All meals included (limited wine included with dinner).

This is our last morning at camp. We board the Esturion and head back to Punta Arenas, navigating the Magellan Straits with lunch served on board. During the voyage you will have the last chance to see the humpback whales close up.
We arrive in Punta Arenas late afternoon where you will be transferred to your accommodation arriving at your hotel at around 2000 hours.
