Spend time in a remote Patagonian refuge or yurt on the banks of the Chubut River in complete isolation in the Andean foothills in northern Patagonia as you explore on foot or by horse during the days. Feast on fresh ingredients cooked over an open fire as you explore the surrounding landscapes on foot or by horse.

Day by day

  • Day 1: Depart Bariloche on Route 40 through foothills to Chubut River. Meet horses and settle in. Yurt/Cabin
  • Day 2: Day riding or hiking to visit small settlements in the Alto Chubut. Learn about the history. Yurt/Cabin
  • Day 3: Day riding or hiking to the high peaks. Lunch by lagoon and a walk above the snow line. Yurt/Cabin
  • Day 4: Morning ride with afternoon relaxing riverside or trying local style of fishing. Yurt/Cabin
  • Day 5: Morning ride or exploration. Drop off in Bariloche.

Extras

  • Add on a few days exploring San Carlos de Bariloche reminiscent of an alpine ski town complete with chocolate boutiques on every corner and the Nahuel Huapa National Park, the oldest park in Argentina.
  • Cross over to Puerto Varas in Chile via the Lake District on the scenic boat-bus combination that crosses a series of lakes and road sections

  • A stay here can be arranged for 3+ nights and it is suitable for children of all ages. It is possible to join an existing group or a private stay is possible where you would have your own guide and excursions tailored to you.
  • The days are flexible and you can either ride, walk, relax, explore or try the local style of fishing making it a great option for families.
