The full Circuit plus a side trip to the Serrano River to access better lodging and a hike of the beautiful trail to Mt Ferrier. Instead of walking the section between Grey and Lake Pehoe; you will join the Grey Boat to get you to Serrano faster (also giving you up close views of the glacier and icebergs, see Day 7).
You will overnight in a comfortable lodge before returning to the W area via vehicle plus catamaran to complete the trail including the French Valley. The trek finishes with a comfortable final night at the lovely Hotel Las Torres (spa available).

Day by day
- ARRIVE into Puerto Natales. Guide’s briefing in the evening. Night Weskar Lodge. No meals.
- Private transfer to Las Torres. HIKE to Seron. CAMP (no upgrades here) with meals in REFUGIO. B,L,D 8 miles/14 km; gentle with some undulation around 250 ft elevation gain. Approximately 4 hours walking.
- HIKE to Dickson Valley. CAMP with option to upgrade to REFUGIO. Meals in REF. B,L,D 9 miles/14.4 km; gentle with roughly 250 ft elevation gain. Approximately 5-6 hours hiking.
- HIKE to Los Perros. CAMP (no upgrades here). Meals prepared by a BlueGreen cook. B,L,D 6.8 mi/11km; with 2,132 ft elevation gain. Approximately 5 hours hiking.
- HIKE over Pass to Grey. CAMP with option to upgrade to REFUGIO. Meals in REF. B,L,D 11.6 mi/17km; with 3,503 ft elevation gain. Approximately 10 hours hiking. Very long day walking with a challenging ascent followed by a challenging descent with various hazards including tree roots and slippery sections.

Optional activity, moderate day to rest after the Pass. - Take morning GREY BOAT. HIKE the trail to Mt Ferrier. Transfer in private transfer to Serrano River. Night in comfortable Pampa Lodge. B,L,D Walk from Grey Boat to vehicle (roughly 1 mile). Hike to Mt Ferrier (bonus hike outside W/Circuit trails): 3.7 miles/5.92 km – 4 hours – 1,770 ft elevation gain
- Private transfer from Serrano River to join catamaran to Paine Grande. HIKE the French Valley and continue on to Los Cuernos. Night in elevated tents at Los Cuernos. UPGRADE to REFUGIO or private CABINS (see prices below). Meals in REF. B,L,D. 17mi/27km. The first part of the hike to the foothills of the French Valley takes around 2 – 2.5 hours. From the French valley floor to French glacier is 750 ft elevation gain with another 1,000 ft elevation gain to camp Britannica so another 5-6 hours to make the full ascent and return. The trail can be very wet and slippery depending on the time of year, the ascent is challenging but there are various viewpoints to enjoy along the way.
- HIKE to Las Torres. Night Hotel Las Torres. Meals in hotel. B,L,D 7.5 mi/12km; moderate gentle hiking with some ascents but no significant altitude gain. Approximately 5-6 hours walking.
- HIKE to base of Towers. Private transfer to Puerto Natales. Night Weskar Lodge included. B,L. 11.8 mi/19km; roundtrip with 3,291 ft elevation gain. Challenging ascent at the start, final steep climb over glacial moraine. Long descent on return. Approximately 8-9 hours walking.
- Private transfer to Puerto Natales airport for onward travel.

Extras
There are two nights at Camping Grey included in this itinerary, this enables you to enjoy an easier day after crossing the Pass. It should also give you time to enjoy some ice play at Grey Glacier, either paddling out onto the lake in kayaks or donning crampons and walking up onto the ice itself. Porters are included (if you are happy to carry your own gear this would result in a cost saving).
