Day by Day
Day 1: Meet guide. Drive to Las Juntas. Hike and night refugio.
Day 2: Hike Las Juntas to Rainbow Hill. Night refugio.
Day 3: Descend to valley below. Transfer to Puerto Varas. Hotel.
Day 4: Morning Puerto Varas. 
Is this trip for me?
This is a beautiful introductory hike into the pristine wilderness area known as the Cochamo Valley.
The hiking is moderate to demanding with five to six hours walking each day and some climbing and traversing with ropes (full instruction given, no climbing experience necessary)
The trip is fully supported by pack horses leaving you free to hike with just a day pack
It is guided by experienced wilderness guides who take care of all the details
Accommodation is in a hotel and comfortable, mountain refugio, the latter offers basic but comfortable dorm style rooms with hot water and living/dining areas. Some private rooms.
This trip has regular departures every Friday and is perfect for those of you wanting to do some guided hiking in the Lake District
You should be a fairly fit hiker and comfortable with travelling in remote areas.
Includes
Transfers stated and accommodation detailed on the itinerary (two refugio nights, one hotel night)
All meals from lunch on Day 1 to breakfast on Day 4 (with the exception of dinner on night 3).
Wine, appetizers and a cheeseboard in refugio.
Bilingual guide (Spanish-English) accredited by Wilderness First Response, guide of the National Mountain School with wide experience of trekking and wilderness trips.
Pack horses for luggage (limited luggage allowances)
Professional first aid kit, UHF Radios, handies, maps, aerial pictures
Dry bags (70 litres) for your personal equipment, complete harness, ropes and all necessary equipment for the trip
