Voyage or Fly to Antarctica
All ActivitiesWhat we offer…
We offer a handful of carefully selected Antarctic adventures which vary in length with the shortest trip being just six days. Departures are from either Ushuaia in southern Argentina or Punta Arenas in southern Chile. With an office in the south, local knowledge and people on the ground we can take care of your entire trip whether it involves a voyage through the southern ocean or a trek through the southern Andes. Time and budget permitting, combining Antarctica with Patagonia provides the ultimate in remote adventure travel.
We work with a small selection of Antarctic operators who specialise in taking guests deep into this remote and icy wilderness on board comfortable ships with competent, qualified crew and expert naturalist guides.
One of our partner operators is a pioneer of the air-cruise model, a new way to travel to Antarctica that makes the continent more accessible for those with limited time, or those who do not wish to sail across the notorious Drake Passage. Flying one or both ways provides visitors with options that make shorter visits more feasible and affordable. With private charter flights and a maximum of 76 guests on board, these boutique wilderness adventures feel more like travelling on a private yacht with direct access to secluded areas that the larger ships cannot reach. Fewer guests means the service is personal and landings are speedy so you can savour every moment of this unique travel experience. Additional activities include sea kayaking and hiking & snowshoeing.
Founded in southern Patagonia this operator has a base in Punta Arenas. They run trips lasting from six to ten days between 23 November and 9 March and we have outlined two of their itineraries below; the popular Classic Antarctica Air-Cruise and the Antarctica Express Air-Cruise.
Contact us for up to the minute availability, prices and suitable trip options or to discuss how you would combine one of these trips with a visit to southern Patagonia.
We also work with an excellent operator that offers a more extensive range of longer explorer-focus trip options that vary in length from 12 to 21 days between the months of October and March.
We have outlined two of their itineraries below including their epic 21 day voyage that includes visits to The Falklands/Malvinas and South Georgia, dubbed the Serengeti of the south. All the voyages depart Ushuaia in southern Argentina and sail out and back across the Drake Passage. With a maximum of 138 guests on board, the experience remains intimate with a focus on personal service and getting everyone engaged with the landscapes and wildlife. Additional activities include kayaking, camping on the ice, photography and citizen science.
