BlueGreen Adventures started out in 1997 in southern Chile’s magnificent Torres del Paine National Park. Since then we have grown and evolved. Always staying true to our ethos of organising well-planned, authentic and unique holidays our knowledge and expertise now stretches far from our original base.
Chile
Is an area of surprising and unforgettable extremes and contrasts. A corridor of land that stretches from the arid north to the glacial south between the Pacific Ocean and the Andes mountains. It is home to 15 regions, an area containing no less than 32 national parks, 600 volcanoes, limitless mountain islands and fjords, hundreds of glaciers, acres of pristine ancient forests, 4000 miles of coastline and the driest desert in the world.
Argentina
Situated on the eastern side of the southern chain of the Andes mountains, Argentina is bordered by the Atlantic Ocean. The second largest country in South America it is made up of 23 provinces with 25 national parks and like Chile it offers an abundance of diversity and extremes. Home to wetlands, arid & desolate mountain ranges, thundering waterfalls, towering glaciers, ceaseless pampas and the southernmost city in the world.
Antarctica
Is the coldest, highest, driest, most inhospitable and remote continent on earth and yet many intrepid travellers dream of experiencing the thrill of such utter isolation. Twice as big as Australia, an ice sheet covers around 98% of Antarctica’s surface. It contains 90% of the world’s ice and 70% of the world’s fresh water. At its thickest point, the ice sheet is almost a mile deep. Antartica, the White Continent, is the ultimate wildness.

Multi-Activity Adventure
Chile and Argentina are unique natural playgrounds. Crammed full of a fantastic combination of mountains, rivers, glaciers, lakes, forests and wide open spaces they are the ideal destination for an unforgettable multi-sport adventure.
Whale watching
We offer opportunities to view these gentle giants in Chile, Argentina and Antarctica in their natural marine environments, some with towering glaciers and sub-antarctic forests as the backdrop. With trip options of 1+ days you will learn about the local biodiversity from specialist naturalist guides and the marine biologists who preserve it.
Voyage or Fly to Antarctica
We offer a handful of carefully selected Antarctic adventures which vary from 5 - 10+ days and depart from Ushuaia or Punta Arenas. With an office in the south, local knowledge and people on the ground we can take care of your entire trip whether it involves a voyage through the southern ocean or a trek through the southern Andes.
Family Travel
For our family itineraries we do the legwork so you don’t have to. We work with families to design their dream itinerary whether this is camping frontier-style or seeing whales and penguins in their natural habitat. Hiking, kayaking, riding, biking and learning experiences such as cooking are among the endless possibilities.
Photography; landscapes, people & wildlife
Quite apart from their world renowned landscapes packed full of natural geological wonders, Chile and Argentina offer a mind blowing array of plants, flowers, mammals and birdlife which make them a haven for photographers keen to capture that special image. Riding
Starting out 25+ years ago with our flagship Glacier Ride, we introduced riders to the jaw droppingly beautiful scenery in southern Chile and especially Torres del Paine with our fast paced riding expeditions on fit Criollo horses. We now offer a wealth of riding options both in southern Patagonia and other parts of Chile and Argentina.

We like to add a BlueGreen twist to some of our more classic routes. This might be a cookery demonstration added to a private family trip or a massage and yoga session tagged on to the end of a long hike such as the Patagonian Circuit.

The tip of South America is an excellent destination for children to encourage them off their mobiles and tablets and into nature. Chile & Argentina are among the continent’s safest countries and there are a wealth of diverse landscapes and activities to suit all ages.
Guided Journeys
We have been operating guided trips in the south for over 25 years. We were an early pioneer of the ‘travel local’ ethos when we launched our Glacier Ride in 1997 escorted by local baqueanos. Our guides introduce you to the authentic country where you will learn its customs and hear the stories of the local people.
Adventure
Everybody’s definition of adventure is different and as part of the trip planning process we aim to understand yours. Whilst for some this might be fulfilling a bucket list dream to sail the Drake Passage, for others it will be trying new foods or paddling up to an iceberg for the first time.
