What we offer…

In addition to the activities mentioned here, we can offer a range of alternative experiences in Patagonia and beyond. These include yoga and wellbeing, polo, ice hiking, volunteering and giving back, biking, cooking and wine workshops, stand up paddle boarding, tango and others.

Yoga and Wellbeing

Yoga holidays to exotic destinations and distant places are becoming increasingly popular and with good reason. They enable you to take time out to focus on your body and your health while enjoying the rewards of travelling in a new culture and seeing new places. Ask us about incorporating some yoga or spa treatments into your trip to Torres del Paine.

Polo

If you want to improve your polo skills or learn a new sport we can match you to a suitable estancia in the vicinity of Buenos Aires. For accomplished riders, nothing beats cantering across pristine polo fields on your swift responsive pony and experiencing the thrill of your first long hit.

Ice Hiking

For a real bucket list experience, Southern Patagonia offers some of the most breathtaking glacier hikes in the world. In Chile, you can take a boat out from Refugio Grey onto the lake from where you can don crampons and embark on an exciting hike up onto the ice to explore the crevices and gulleys. In Argentina, this is possible on the famous Perito Moreno Glacier in Argentina, renowned for its accessibility and stunning ice formations, providing both easy ice walks and more challenging treks. Additionally, the Southern Patagonian Ice Field, one of the largest ice fields in the world, provides adventurous hikes like the expedition to the Viedma Glacier, offering a more remote and rugged experience. Ice hiking is included in some of our trekking and multi-activity tours, please ask for details.

Volunteering/Giving Back

Ecotourism is defined as environmentally responsible travel that promotes conservation, has low negative visitor impact and provides for beneficial active socioeconomic involvement of local populations. We can help and advise our clients who wish to contribute time, effort, money or talent to a local need or cause. We can also advise on local estancias looking for volunteers to help out with ranch activities during the high season.

Biking

We can include some guided mountain biking into any Torres del Paine tour for novice and keen cyclists. The Atacama Desert is also a good destination and e-bikes are a popular choice here. More adventurous cyclists will find Patagonia offers some of the most exhilarating rides, with the Carretera Austral in Chile and the Ruta 40 in Argentina providing epic long-distance rugged biking adventures for independent travellers. The regions around Bariloche and the Seven Lakes Route are also a popular option with both novice and experienced cyclists. In Chile cycling the wine regions around Santiago (and Mendoza in Argentina) can be a good way to explore the vineyards and enjoy tastings.

Other Options

We can offer cookery workshops and wine tastings in Puerto Natales and these can be added onto a Family or Custom Tour. Paddle boarding is also becoming more popular in the area and this can be undertaken as a winter activity in Patagonia. Tango classes are popular in Buenos Aires, the birthplace of this rythmic dance and is highly recommended.
