A fantastic water based multi-sport trip that includes a night in a waterside estancia and a night on board a yacht at anchor in a pristine wilderness area. Who said Patagonia is only fun in the summer months?Highlights
Stay in a remote waterside Estancia that farms cattle and sheep Board a beautiful yacht and navigate into remote fjords Paddle out into the iceberg choked waters of a glacial lagoon Enjoy magical frosty landscapes and deep blue skies Sip fireside pisco sours in the comfort of your historic estancia Sleep on board a yacht in a pristine setting Explore tranquil fjords and lagoons by zodiac boatIs this trip for me?
Fantastic NEW winter boat exploration designed for adventurers wanting to witness the fabulous Bernardo O'Higgins National Park out of the main tourist season. Clients interested in this trip should be comfortable around water and happy staying in remote areas. On board the yacht accommodation is in private cabins (twin or double subject to availability and size of the boat). We use two yachts, the Arco Iris at 17.2 metres with berths for 10 and the smaller Driftwood at 12 metres with berths for just 4. All meals are prepared on board by your guide and captain. Life jackets are provided and all boats are equipped with regulatory VHF and safety systems. Also carried on board will be kayaks and a small zodiac boat for exploring. Winters in southern Patagonia can be surprising and incredible - with deep blue skies, less wind and snow capped peaks it is a photographer's dream. This trip would suit lovers of nature and the outdoors who would like to enjoy a fully supported winter trip with remote lodgings and a nights on the water. If you have the time, this trip combines well with the Snow Shoes hiking trip resulting in a 5 or 6 day Patagonia Adventure with a difference. This trip is unique in the area - we recognize that even with limited time, you probably do not want to waste time cooped up in a vehicle so we have been creative and come up with a selection of short taster trips that get you out into some of Patagonia's finest scenery enjoying raw nature at its most beautiful and fantastic wildlife spotting opportunities.
